I recently played a cash game with some "know it all poker players," as the game came close to a end, I noticed one of the guys getting monster hands when he delt. First off we were playing with two decks, so I payed a little more attention to him the hand before his deal while he was shuffling. Things to make me think: NUMBER 1- he shuffled the cards under the table like on his leg. NUMBER 2- he was down while the other guy and I were way up. NUMBER 3- His deal I'm delt 5 5, I fold just to see his reaction, no reaction, but the other guy that was way up played with him. Other guy raise preflop, button call. Flop 4 4 4, this really caught my eye, guy bets, button raises, guy calls. Turn Q, guy bets, button calls. River rag, guy bets, button all-in, guy calls. Final: guy full house 4's over K's, button full house 4's over A's. All three players delt pockets, and a flop of 4 4 4. What do yall think, cheater or really lucky????

It does sound a bit fishy.
I'm not too crazy about dealers who shuffle in their laps. Were the decks both the same color? Were there any other hands this guy dealt that caught your eye? One hand does not seem like enough evidence to call the guy a cheat. |

Why oh why oh why does anyone allow a game where the dealer shuffles his own deck? Much LESS below the table.

I usually just read in this forum, but im sick of these 'how to catch cheaters' posts.
You guys have obvously not played enough poker, [censored] like that happens, really. BUT, then you might think he's cheating.... - why do you use two decks? - why didnt you enforce hands on the table rule? - why don't you cut the deck before the deal? - why don't you use your brain? All these things are in your control, and they are YOUR fault. Im sick of all these how do you catch a cheater posts. Use your friggin brains. If you think they cheat, but can't prove it, leave, too bad, get over it. |

Does this fall under the same category of "I hate it when I touch a hot pan and burn my finger- OW! I did it again"?

Almost the instant we started our home game we enforced 'deck stays on the table' and 'cut to your right'. If you can't get these rules in play or they don't help, leave. In all likelihood your 'friend' will have to agree to the rules or else it'll look even worse, and you can expect the cheating to stop. ALTHOUGH, and I'm not saying this to defend him, but yah, one hand could happen like this by chance. Last night, on my deal, we were playing a split pot game: Omaha Chicago, so Omaha hi hand gets half the pot and the highest spade in the hole gets half the pot. I got dealt AKKT with the Ace of Spades, flop was KKQ (With the K of spades) and I get into a big betting war with the only guy that had more chips then me. He ended up having QQxx (with the Q of spades)... my deal.. i doubled up against the chip lead.. didn't cheat tho. |

Cheating, however you should never let anyone deal on their leg. Thats a no go.
