Re: How Bad Is This Fold??
Mega super-duper ultra bad.
SB donkbets the turn. So what? He picked up a draw maybe.. or has TT and waited 'till the turn to bet, or who knows what. There's a section in SSH where Ed Miller mentions that when a player donkbets ( i believe he calls it sudden bet or something) a card like the board pairing he almost never has it, because the natural instinct is to c/r b/c the hand is so strong. Both you and BB put in bets/raises on the flop...SB would c/r his 8 here nearly always. I think the question here should be whether to raise the turn... BB calling along doesn't have an 8 because he'd raise the turn, and i'm not inclined to believe SB until he shows me he means business. given your line, call the river!!! Surf |

Mega super-duper ultra bad. [/ QUOTE ] I think it is far worse than this. Nine times out of ten the donk bet means less than nothing. A raise would stop him from bluffing so I would just call down. |

Once you call the river, he can't bluff anymore. |

Re: How Bad Is This Fold??
Looking over the hand a little more I know that folding is very bad. Turn raise might be a good idea but I am not sure. I won't give credit to SB for trips so I am not sure what the best line would be.
