Default PokerNOW scary Terms & Conditions

I was checking the bonuswhores website and found this part of the Pokernow T&C:

5. True Identity and One Account
The name on your Account must match your true and legal name and identity and the name on your PokerNow.com Account registration must match the name on the credit card(s) or other payment accounts used to deposit or receive monies in your Account. You are prohibited from holding more than one Account at PokerNow.com and any of the websites on the Shared Game/Table Platform. If you have more than one (1) Account or Accounts in different names, then you must contact us immediately to have your Accounts managed so that you only have one (1). If you have lost your Account name or password, please contact us for a replacement.

Should every player that uses pokernow & other skins worry about this? Not sure if this is a known part of the T&C.

What could possibly be the problem with this?

Pokernow is the only site I can play texas hold'em at?!!?!?!? Oh god!!! I'm screwed! I guess I'll have to get into O8 or something for a decent rakeback deal.

PokerNow T&C are very different from Party and Empire. Noteworthy:

1. Last modified date for PokerNow: 4/28/05 versus last December for the others.

2. Having accounts at PokerNow and another skin expressly forbidden in two places (#5 and #11).

3. PokerNow anti-AI clause prohibits "odds-calculators, hand-strength calculators, opponent-profiling ... software" in addition to bots.

IMO PokerNow T&C clearly forbids PokerTracker Game Time Window, PokerEdge, and the other popular real-time display tools that are allowed under the Party T&C.

Anyone know what the PokerNow T&C said before the latest changes? Could this represent the direction that Party is trying to head in?

Yeah I'm not using pokertracker or gametime there. It's not worth having funds confiscated, IMO.

You think they would go after your funds?

Without a warning?

Confiscate was the wrong word. Just don't want to bother having my account frozen and the hassles that go with it.

That's not going to happen.

What may happen is the other skins change their T&C to match. The next step after that would be to publicize a new policy and start warning people. Pat is certainly correct that they have tolerated and even encouraged PT and the newer tools. But they could change their minds and move in a new direction.

Remember that all the sites read the zoo. Party knows that even the pro population who uses these tools is ambivalent about their fairness. It feels like we are trapped in an arms race, adopting new weapons just to avoid being at a disadvantage.

So I could understand why they might be having second thoughts about what they have allowed.

I'll ask again: are these clauses in the PokerNow agreement new? Perhaps some old PokerNow customer printed the T&C when they signed up? If they are new then I suspect they mean something. If they've been there all along it probably is just one of those funny things that don't quite make sense.
