Default why is all the good poker books on just english?

I have notis that all the worlds best poker books writen by sklansky and phil is just written in english and not translated to any other languish, how come that there isnt a single one translated to swedish for ex...

The short answer would be: Because it has never been done before.

There's still no homogeneous Swedish poker-terminology, just a bizarre and arbitrary mix of English and Swedish. The translator would have to build an entire arsenal of poker-specific words and expressions from scratch and that's not an easy task.

Once the spoken language settles though, translating a poker book would be very possible.

There is one book in swedish called Pokerhandboken [english translation would be The Handbook of Poker] witch is an old book written by Dan Glimme. Its contents is very much like The Theory of Poker, as I heard they are so alike that it is amost a ripoff. Most people say that it is good, I have just skimmed it very many years ago. There is a new version of it coming in the summer.

I am speaking french and I would not want to buy a poker book in french become I am so use to English word

ex : Fold you be "abandonner"
call would be "appeler"
raise would be "relancer"

hell you see how hard it is! :P
