PC.com Chips Arrived: Pics!
Hi Everyone
I placed my order on Feb. 8, and the chips arrived today April 26. I was very surprised and happy with the relatively speedy process, but I have to admit that I have been pushing pretty hard to get the chips. Called PC.com maybe 20 times over the last two months, and gave them a deadline (because I'm leaving the country in June). However, it seemingly works to be somewhat pushy with them. The total cost for the order was app. $550. The color breakdown is as follows: 200 White 150 Red 50 Green 50 Black 50 Pink I received 20 spares with the order. Overall I'm very happy with the chips. A few of them has minor blemishes and they are all covered with the classic PC.com glitter. Somebody once wrote something about an oil that would be great to rub the chips with. I wonder if any of you know what oil I should use, and whether it in fact is a good idea. One thing I've noticed though is that they are rather hard to shuffle. I suspect they will be easier to handle over time, but right now (fresh out of the factory) they don't shuffle too well. BILL FILLMAFF! Thanks to everyone in here who helped me make the right choice. Especially the poster (can't remember his name) who uploaded custom mockup frames for PC.com chips. Comments appreciated! - Kripke |

$25 in some store in Santa Monica where you can do your own artwork.

You only have 500 chips there? Could have sworn there were more.

I'm curious: Why no edge spots on the pink ones?

Re: PC.com Chips Arrived: Pics!
I saw Phil Ivey sitting with a huge stack of pinks in the US Championship of Poker and thought they looked really cool. So decided to do one chip, the pink, without edge spots.

Re: PC.com Chips Arrived: Pics!
Kripke,
Great chips! Quick question for you though. Did PC.com send you an email with any sort of tracking number for your chips once they were mailed? Or did they just arrive today unexpectedly? I ask because I placed my order with them on February 14 (6 days after you), and my credit card was charged about 10 days ago, and I haven't heard anything since. Thanks for any help you can provide. Re: PC.com Chips Arrived: Pics!
PC.com charges your credit card right before they ship out your chips ... to the finishing factory. This is where the mold is applied and a final inspection is done. I was told this process is about 7-10 days. The chips are then shipped directly to you from this location.
I'm not sure if/when you get a tracking number, as my card was only charged last week. |

Re: PC.com Chips Arrived: Pics!
After they charged my credit card (about a week ago), I received an email a couple of days later from UPS (Quantumview) with a tracking number. From there I could follow my chips travel across the country.
Just call them if you haven't received an e-mail. They have been very helpful to me during the process, despite of all the bad stuff I've heard about them. - Kripke |
