Default KK 5-10 No-Limit

5-10 NL at the end of a very profitable session. I'm killing time waiting for a friend to finish up before I cash out.

Black KK UTG - raise to 70 - the standard table raise. Next player calls (pretty bad, has @500. Then, in late position, a tight, older player with around 2k reraises to 210.

I put the late player on AA, KK, QQ or maybe JJ - these are really the only hands I've seen him reraise with, and I've been playing with him for around 8 hours now. I've been talking about leaving for the past 15 minutes.

What's the move here?

What is your stack size?

And have you really seen him raise a big UTG raise AND a call with QQ? I think I'd fold here.

Unless he has villian covered by so much that hero seems to be bullying other players with his stack, I don't think that's relative.

Hero said $70 was the standard raise. And obviously villian's raise would've been smaller if the second player didn't cold-call. I don't think villian necessarily has KK or better...I think there's a fair enough chance he's raising for information with QQ or even JJ. However, it would be hard to play this hand out-of-position, particularly if villian is good at reading other players' hands.

But if the villain is only good at reading his OWN hand...

The power of "if" and "particularly if".

talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
do you make it a practice to always lay down KK when reraised preflop?
if so please let me know when and where i can find you at the poker table.

When faced with a solid old dude re-raising an UTG raise OTB, I think it's a fairly standard fold.

When faced with a young hotshot who thinks he's the reincarnation of stu ungar, it's an easy slowplay.

[/ QUOTE ]ok. this guy misunderstands very basic concepts... if you think i am weak bc of this post, good. i promise you are FAR from correct. id call in the hand, but bc i think the poster probably cant play after the flop, and this guy is very likely to have AA , i think folding is fine.

You don't have to agree with my reasoning, which I explained in further detail in my response to mythrilfox. But at least explain why you think I'm so far off the mark.

Though it's a close call between calling/re-raising/folding, I don't think folding is the best choice for reasons mentioned in my response to mythrilfox.
