What it all appears to mean.
I think I've seen enough for one night!!
This is a resume of roughly what all these emails, websites, rulings and other stuff seem to mean, any additional comments would be warmly welcomed. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission was set up by the MCK (Mohawk Council of Kahnawake, comprising of 1 head chief and 11 other chiefs) in the same initiative as the MIT (Mohawk Internet Technologies, homepage http://mohawk.ca/default.php ) the MIT provides a "co-location server park" within the Mohawk territories...which, as I understand, are not answerable to "normal" laws, as they have their own Chief. They have one of "The highest per family incomes of any native community in Canada". The KGC are the ones who issue the "license" which basically is what is needed to operate from the server park. The regulations they are "enforcing" are those that are made by the law of the territory, and three people comprise that committee, The Kahnawake Gaming Commission, established on 10 Ohiari:ha/June 1996 pursuant to the provisions of the Kahnawake Gaming Law, MCR No. 26/1996-97 (the "Law"), is presently comprised of three members appointed by the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake. The members of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission are: Alan Goodleaf, Lindsay Leborgne and Iris Rice. So the people are employed by the council that set up the income generating server park.....so they are potentially not impartial [img]/forums/images/icons/wink.gif[/img] In my correspondence with several sites, both poker and casino, the question of what the KGC actually does has been dodged every time (See Aces High casinos clever reply in previous post). Many of these places have installed PriceWaterhouseCoopers as their "proof" of safety, presumably because they realise that someone is going to doubt what the KGC actually does. The KGC however can make rulings, see MS Sunshine's analysis in previous post, that affect OUR money. Who do you think they are likely to favour? THEIR paying customer (The site) or us? This, to me at least, is all rather disturbing, and I would urge any online gambling sites to install a more "trustable" independant body (Such as PWC) to review their data and try to ensure fair play. I am not sure where this leaves the original question of whether propoker.com uses bots. The KGC gave us me a "no" but I am no longer sure how much I trust the KGC and have taken the inquiry to another level. Thankyou for reading the posts as they came, I hope this one will lump it all together at least semi-coherently. I am stopping for the night, because if I see one more page about the KGC,MIT,PWC, or any other abbreviation, I might go nuts. I am awaiting several emails from relevant places and will keep you all informed if anything interesting appears. Lori

Excellent work, Lori.
It all seems to be leading to the conclusion that if we choose to gamble on the internet and send our money to internet sites then we have to live in trust that they will send us back money if we win the games in which we play, whether or not those games are run fairly.

The KGC seems to have a very large portion of the gaming industry. Does this translate into control or power? What other influence do they have over the industry? They effectively attempted to shutdown Sunnygroup. Who are the goons now?

The main other post that goes alongside this one is the one about bonus abuse that I recently also bumped to the top. It is called "I believe this has been posted before but...." and the last response (my bump) was posted on 3rd Jan. That one covers a ruling that KGC made regarding bonus abuse. I would also appreciate it if anyone could show me how to link to old posts to save me bumping to top all the time. Thanks Lori
