What are the \"Must-read\" Strategy Posts from this forum?
Hi everyone,
I post mostly in the NL/PL forum, but I want to learn to be a good tournament player. Can you guys please direct me to some of the greatest hits/ best posters here? I'm not lazy (for a poker player, anyway); if you just want to suggest some search terms, rather than actually digging up the posts yourself, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Cero |

Cero,
I have some of what I thought were great threads saved on my other PC, I will post them tomorrow. I would be interested in reading which older (less active) posters anyone thought would be worth searching the archives for. |

cero-
I lurk the NL/PL forum, and I can tell you that no one here understands NL fundamentals better than you. In fact, few are even your peers. The things you'll want to focus on are the areas where the "correct" cash game play is not the "correct" tournament play. For example, it is almost universally accepted that cashEV and chipEV diverge in a meaningful way at some point during a tournament, but there is some disagreement as to when this divergence occurs. The thread MLG linked you to is a great place to start on the subject. Once you have digested that thread, post a few hands that you think are borderline. We'll learn better fundamentals from you, and we'll try to help you a little with the tourney stuff. I'm afraid I can't think of any other must read topics off the top of my head, but I'll keep thinking about it a little longer. Welcome to the forum, Che |

And this one didn't generate all that much discussion, but it's worth reading too. Che's right. cero plays real goot. |

If you don't like the appearance of the links the other guy was nice enough to find, perhaps you should put forth the extra effort to make them more attractive?
Yes, I do realize it's not that much effort for him which means it would also not be that much effort for you. |

Hi everyone,
Thanks to you all for the links. That will keep me busy for a while. Feel free to add anything you think of. Once I get caught up with the reading a bit (so I'm not out of my depth), I'll hopefully be able to contribute something to the discussion, as well. Cero |
