hypothetical hand seeking conjectual answers
Hypothetical hand. Lets make it 6-7 handed (at a full table) at a low limit table. Action as follows.

I'd either raise and fold to a 3-bet, or just call down. If you think your opponent can fold KK or QQ, then raise. If not, just call and pray. |

yeah, just selecting a more marginal hand that hits something on the flop. (so preflop ignore...just used as an example) So on the turn u are possibly ahead or very likely drawing dead. |

Re: hypothetical hand seeking conjectual answers
This is probably what I would do...but my first reaction was to raise and fold to a three bet.
But it makes since to fold as u are either dead or slightly ahead (if you are not outkicked) |

Re: hypothetical hand seeking conjectual answers
im putting SB on QQ/KK here, realizing that the second ace makes his hand more likely to be ahead. its of course possible that he has AK JJ or AA. he may also have TT or just be going donkey style. i change my mind, i weigh folding as the much better option.

What do you put SB on? [/ QUOTE ] an Ace, or maybe KK-TT, or maybe k [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] my instinct as well was raise this one and fold to a three bet, or at least call down. but with BB in there as well and the chance that you might be dominated I'm leaning towards a fold, but would like to hear what others have to say. -little fishy |

Re: hypothetical hand seeking conjectual answers
Folds. I don't even think it's very close. Maybe if BB folded, you might take a shot.
I think most anything a typical SS player raises from the SB beats you with the exception of maybe TT. If you had a read to the contrary, maybe that'd be different. But I see you ahead of TT and behind everything else. And BB calling decreases your winning chances even more, imo. With that board he's not on a draw. btw, what's wrong with preflop? |

Re: hypothetical hand seeking conjectual answers
Fold w/out any reads...
I think a lot of LPs like to call with top pair and a low kicker on the flop and go nuts/call down when they hit trips. SB could have you dominated. |
