Default AJs query

How could I have played this hand better?
MP2 appears to be a maniac but I have only 30 hands on him atm.

Just wondering...

Against an unknown preflop raiser, I'll generally cold-call with AJs, but usually not 3-bet (as per SSH).

Against a LAG, I'll for sure 3-bet, especially heads-up.

I rarely fold AJs preflop to a sinlge raise. (Just going by SSH).

Do you see any problems here??? Or is this 'standard'?

Are there any adjustments I should think about depending on whether is Heads-up, against 2-3 others, or against 4 or more players?

AJs is not usually one I am cold calling first in with.

Mabye that is too tight but AJs (even sooted) is easily dominated by many preflop raising hands. I can usually lay this one down against a tight raiser 6% and will 3-bet it against someone who raises 12%+.

With a cold caller inbetween I am more likely to consider a cold call but AJs is usually worth a 3-bet here with some poor fish in the middle. I guess a cold call is more likely to bring along a few more players and AJs is good multiway.

depends on position, personally i'll cold call two bets with AJs from MP3-Button, but not usually before.

i cant argue with what you posted, and definitly not with ed

i just think on the whole, the games he writes about are different enought from the ones we play in, that certain changes need to be made in his preflop guideline. this situation doesnt appear to be one of them, however i probably 3-bet if the guy has been a fcuktard, even if its over a small sample.

EDIT: the games ed talks about are live loose passive games, where we play in tighter more aggressive games. because of this i play tighter than what he recommends.

3-bet preflop to isolate.

3-bet the turn, if he caps check-call the river, if not bet-raise the river.

3-bet the turn

I don't like this, we are almost always trailing when we are capped, and if that's the case we just paid 4 bets to hit our draw. Also, 30 hands isn't enough to convince me the pf raiser is a maniac to make 3-betting the turn a good play.
