Default The party continues (some whining, MC)

Opponent megaloose idiot, but not too aggressive, never seen him cap before (63/10/1.8 over 70h). Do any of you skip the 3-bet on the river?

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls.

Flop: (5 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, UTG calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG caps</font>, Hero calls.

River: (11.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG caps</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 19.50 BB

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
UTG has Ts 8s (straight flush, ten high).
Hero has Qs As (flush, ace high).
Outcome: UTG wins 19.50 BB. </font>

not 3 betting is probably correct given your read having never seen him do this but I will be losing as much as you on this hand...

I don't care what I've seen out of him over 70 hands, I'm capping this on every street.

Not 3betting the river would be the worst move in the history of man.

i threebet this river too. i think it is the most profitable thing to do against all types of players here... especially when they are relatively unknown at 70 hands.

i'd threebet rory's weak-tight granny here.

I'm with you rory- Its not like he is just oging to push a set like this- so you are hoping he has either a King high flush, or he has the straight flush. The straight flush costs you 2 more bets and the king high wins you one more most of the time. And many of these players won't show push a king high this hard.

IMO, It is going to win you an extra BB the vast majority of the time and you will loose 2 extra BBs a much lesser % of the time. I think not 3-betting is -EV.
