Default The PP 15: Where to go from here?

Quick background:

I took an ill-advised shot in the dark at the party 15 a few months ago....with a BR of about $1200. After some winning I started 4-tabling. Hit a wall, my BR plummeted to $250. Steaming mad, I quickly jumped in a $200 NL sit and go. Incredible luck won it for me, an $800 profit. Hit the 15-30 game again and ran it up to $6500, down to $1500, and now, to $5700.

Clearly, I am lucky to be still afloat. 28k 15-30 hands at 0.5BB/100 (16/7/2), perhaps nothing to brag about at 2+2.

My new priority is to not go broke.

With this in mind, what advice would you give? Should I "get off at the top" of this rollercoaster ride, and drop down before I bust out? Of course, I do not know even if I am at a high point, but I have realized my BR may not last with these swings. Or should I stay the course, hoping I can avoid another major downswing while bonuses and a new rake refund program build me a proper bankroll?

Thank you for your thoughts.

I recommend you get the hell away from 15/30 with a $5700 BR if you value your money. Even a 3bb/100 winning player can lose that pretty easily...then again I'm sure there are enough people that play 15/30 on here that they will want you to stick around..

You lack the ability the make it playing poker. Stop now if you value your sanity and your life.

This is the best advice you will ever receive.

Well it seems you want me to quit altogether. I suppose you see me as a tilty head case. But remember, I am trying to turn this around, and play safer with my BR.

If I should quit the PP 15, there does not seem to be an obvious alternative. This is where I have all my databases, notes, and most of my experience. 5-10? A new site?

Everyone at 2+2 will admit that the PP 15 is the best game in the online world.

Any other thoughts?

PP 5, and search "Data Mining" "Playerview" and "Gametime+" to get your notes back.

Sounds like you might have a gambling problem, try Gamblers Annoymous. If not, take your BR to the $3/6 or $5/10, get some more hands under your belt then take it from there.

Well this I am quite sure this is not the case. I invested $300 in online poker and if I ever go dead broke I would either quit or buy-in for like $100 in a few months and play 0.5-1. I am very sure of this!

Thanks for the tip Lori I will check out the thread.

As for the PP 5, it just doesn't seem to be a lively (ie loose) game, whereas the pp 15 is often quite loose (albeit very agressive).

Thanks for your replies.

Actually, I am quite sure this is the case and I agree with him here. In fact, I present my evidence below:

You clearly have a gambling problem.

Oh, I almost forgot the most important part of my post. Party name?

Seems to me you are the one with a problem.

That makes him a bit of an ass, not someone with a problem.

Twowords, on the other hand, should take his winnings and get out of the game if he wants to preserve his money. Playing like that, there is no way he'd survive 1 truly bad day.

So either get out while you've got something to show for it, or move back down to 3/6 and join all of my tables.
