Default defending the blind goes all the way

CO player is medium preflop (saw flop 25% over 20 hands), fairly aggressive after the flop.

I suspected this may be a blind steal, hence the raise from the BB.

The things that have me concerned here are the call on the flop, and the three bet on the river. What do y'all think?

This is fine.

Folding the flop would be awful.

Just calling the river raise is okay but I prefer the threebet.

Checkraising the river would have been okay too.

Well, here's my concern: He three bet my check raise on the turn, then when top card pairs, he raises my bet again. Wouldn't this lead to enough suspicion that SOMETHING was up just to call down the river?

I think you should always reveal the outcome of the hand when u make a post like that so far ur play seems sound but after gettin capped preflop id prolly check call even after i hit with a preflop cap

Default outcome

CO shows 77, giving him the full house over my trips with top kicker.

This is results oriented thinking. You have to make the best choice based on his possible range of hands.

It doesn't take a lot to know what the correct play is once you know what his cards are.

after you check/raised the turn, what hand do you think villain put you on?

this is why i don't like the river 3-bet.

not that my opinion means much, but this river 3-bet is excessive. i'm also surprised villain did not cap it.

my line probably would have been bet/call the river raise -- call me weak I suppose?
