KJs when do you give credit to Axs
Absolute Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 3 folds, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (4 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls, SB folds, BB raises, Hero calls, MP1 calls. Turn: (4.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) BB bets, Hero raises, MP1 calls, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, MP1 calls, BB calls. River: (15.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls, BB raises, Hero calls, MP1 calls. Final Pot: 21 BB Hands like this make me wonder how bad I really am. I call the flop fearing 2 pair, cap the turn fearing the worst, and bet the river thinking villain had lost his mind only to get check-raised |

[ QUOTE ] Raise preflop. 3-bet the flop. [/ QUOTE ] KJs is auto raise UTG? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. Failing to do so is a pretty significant mistake. Probably somewhere along the lines of .2 - .4 SB/Hand (reference is just calling here). This kind of value is hard to get back postflop. Brad |

Ok, What about the tight game strategy as outlined in SSH, the tables ive played the last few days at Absolute never seem to be over 5 players Or is the tight game as defined by range of starting hands?

Brad [/ QUOTE ] could i get a reference post or some math on this? either on this thread or PMed to me? I'm in the process of re-evaluating my preflop play, and would really appreciate it |

Your seeing too many monsters. If a smile doesn't light up when you flop this, you need a poker re-evulation.
