I'll be there March 26 - 30. I'll be hitting the Mirage 6/12 and 10/20, and the Bellagio 8/16 (15/30 on the last day if I've done _really_ well). Also plan on spending some time getting drunk and destroying some 3/6 and 4/8 at the smaller rooms.

I'll be there this weekend - getting in Thursday night - and was hoping to hear some feedback from people who were there this past weekend as to where they played and what they recommend.

Read a few Vegas posts recently and had the following listed as places to play:

- 4/8 Bellagio
- 4/8 Mandalay
- Mirage
- 2/6 spread limit at Excalibur (? can't remember who recommended this)
- Luxor has low buy-in tourneys, but the room/atmosphere suck

Any other recommendations for/against for LLHE and reasonable ($100 and less) tourneys and satellites????

Luxor tournies suck rocks. Stay far away.

Binion's daily tournies are fun, but they take a lot of juice out.

I'm making my maiden Vegas voyage next week (Monday-Weds.) and am staying at Luxor.. care to elaborate on what's so bad about their tourneys and/or poker room in general?

I'm not exactly sure what makes the room no fun - too small? Too cold? Too cramped? Bad dealers? Smelly opponents? But I did hear it was a smoking room, which could blow if you don't smoke.

Okay, I don't mean to put the place down. It's just not my favorite room on the Strip.

I checked out Luxor two years ago and again last November. The "room" as I remember it is just a cordoned off area in the hallway. I played in the noon tourney there and recall that the stack size relative to the blinds was pretty poor (I think you start with a mere 10xBB). The tourney players were predictably terrible, which made the action pretty good. I remember that I busted out with QQ but don't remember what beat me. Anyway, the tourney took up half the tables in the room, and 2/4 was the highest limit they were spreading there. I sat at a table and quickly discovered there were two props there.... on either side of me. And they were both smoking. I have heard that they no longer allow smoking, which is good. I hear they spread a baby NL game there as well as spread limit stud (1-5 I think) and 4/8 HE. Maybe they've expanded a bit.

I just think that there are better, nicer, cleaner, rooms in the same area (Mandalay, for example) that have better action. I also like the more upscale rooms like Mirage and Bellagio both for the room layout and because they spread higher limits.

I'm looking forward to checking out MGM's room on April 1st.

I'll be there 3/25-3/28, staying at NYNY.

Up in the air about what/where I'll be playing...still got a little research to do. I do know I will be playing morning NL tourneys SOMEWHERE on 3/26 and 3/27 though...any suggestions are appreciated.
