Default kcchips

www.kcchips.com
has anyone ever seen these anywhere else? They're ridiculously expensive but I got to play with them last night and they're the best chips I've ever held, including any vegas casino chips. Anyone find these for a better price than $1/chip?

Ditto. They ARE Matsui.

Same as the Murphy's Card Room chips at HPC.com.

Are the Matsui "decal" chips similar to Bud Jones' "Speed Chips"?

Also, what would be looking at $$ wise for a custom set of Matsui's?

Yep...Matsui chips.

However...the regular inlay Matsui chips are better than Bud Jones in my opinion.

The Bud Jones chips that i have played with get suction cupped together. The Matsui chips don't do this.

And when you get inlay chips your inlay design can be much more complicated than you can acutally ingrave in the metal

Sounds like you've gotten the coin-chip bug. They're a unique feel and sound, and are the real chips at many casinos. But the good ones ain't cheap.

But you can't get Matsui's or Bud Jones chips direct.

Murphy's on sale at HPC are probably your best bet, for a buck apiece.

You might score a lucky KC Chips auction like this, though most of the time there is a higher Buy It Now only: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...06897&rd=1

If you'd consider the original Bud Jones coin inlays, they are usually expensive but there have been a couple of recent auctions like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...24904&rd=1

Some great looking Matsuis are the Rounders coin chips, but they're also expensive (unless you get a lucky auction): http://stores.ebay.com/RoundersCardClub

Check out the coin chip reviews: http://www.pokerchipreviews.com/coincentered.html
including some less expensive ones.
Good luck!

You can get Matsui's direct....you just have to pay through the nose.

I agree.

No suction problem & the chips both look and feel much better IMO.

The Matsuis have more of a rounded edge on them, which I like, and I guess the plastic they are using gives them a higher quality 'feel'.

I also like the vivid colors & designs they have - plenty of color combinations & design options available.
