Party NL25 - tptk hand
AQo in EP, I raise to a dollar (weak?). MP1 calls as does MP3. Flop (~3.5): J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I bet $4.50, not liking the straight/flush draws out there. MP1 folds slowly, MP2 minraises. I call (weak) planning on betting the pot if no apparent draws are completed and certainly if my hand is helped. Turn is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], making a 1 card straight. Out of position, I check and he bets all in for another $12 or so. I don't like the hand and fold. Thoughts? Get away at the minraise? Play back at him then, or push on the turn? I'm leaning towards folding tto the min raise. |

Re: Party NL25 - tptk hand
if you open, 4xbb is fine. im not the biggest fan of opening up with AQ. i dont get too excited with this hand out of position. in fact, in 100bb games i may not even touch AQos from EP at all. this flop is very bad for you. it gives you TPTK which may very easily be second best at the moment. there are not many combos of QX you can beat. there are a lot of draws out, several probable 2 paired hands, and even KT, T8 deals off a straight. when you bet and got minrasied, this is an instant fold
