Re: Fischman wins..
So, if Sklansky is better than Doyle, and Ivey, and Chan, and Fischman is better than Sklansky...
Congrats on a tremendous run. |

Re: Fischman wins..
Jesus, already beaten on my lame joke.
The results are clear, the pecking order in the poker world is now... 1. SCOTT FISCHMAN 2. David Skuhlansky 3. Johnny Chan 4. Phil Ivey 5. Doyle Brunson |

Per Card Player
David Sklansky v. Scott Fischman: Fischman Advances to Round 4
Log: David Sklansky limps in from the button (small blind), and Scott Fischman raises from the big blind. Sklansky comes over the top all in, and Fischman calls. Sklansky shows A-10 and Fischman shows 7-7. The flop comes J-10-8, giving Sklansky a higher pair, but giving Fischman an open-ended straight draw. A 9 on the turn makes his straight, and the best Sklansky can hope for is a chopped pot if he catches a 7 or a queen. But the river card is a 5, and David Sklansky is eliminated. Scott Fischman advances to Round 4, where he will face Antonio Esfandiari. |

Re: Per Card Player
Wait 7-8-10-J is open-ended? That's too bad either way, at least it wasn't Dutch Boyd though.

Re: Per Card Player
Fischman has proven himself to be a great player, while most of the "crew" is a bunch of wanna be great players.

Re: Per Card Player
What exactly does Fischman have to do to get some respect?
I'm not saying he's my favorite player. But he consistently plays very well. He's got two bracelets. Forget how he acted when he won them, I would have been crazy excited too. Everyone here seems to dog him all the time, it's weird. I think he's a pretty good tourney player, and an EXCELLENT HU player. I've seen him in the final 4 of 5 or 6 different HU tournaments on Stars. He's obviously got some HU skills. |

Re: Per Card Player
I'm not saying he is isn't a great player, just that I would much rather see Sklansky win than Fischman. Also, my question as to how 7-8-10-J is an OESD still stands.

[/ QUOTE ] Fischman does'nt need anyone's respect. his results speak for themselves and he's constantly working to get better. i'm really sure he cries himself to bed at night thinking about all the flack he's received on 2+2. the majority of that flack, [i'm sure], is coming from people who would love to be in his position right now--- with or without his WSOP final table antics. i know i would. |
