These new NL side games on party are fantastic. They were always beatable, but there used to be a lot of players in the 100NL that needed to be avoided. Now these guys are playing higher *AND* we get to start with 100 BBs. That's some sweet action. You guys should check them out.

I agree. I started playing these this week. Wanted to get more time in at the tables and improve my post flop game. Working off bonus and cleaning up on the NL $25. Its been pretty poor play even in non prime time hours. My hourly with the bonus is through the roof right now. Running hot while clearing a bonus is twice as nice.

I would agree. I have been playing the $600 game and doing quite well.

I basically play the same strategy as I would in a SNG for the 1st 3 levels...

What's the fun in that. You'd get blinded away. Never make any money. You've got to open up your PF hands a little more than that I think.

Maybe thats my problem. I am not the AA-JJ and AK player in the 1st 3 levels in SNGs. I open it up some in certain situations. Maybe I could be better than 25% ROI at the 22s if I tightened up some.

Well, spent about 20 minutes at your tables here Philly dog. Two tables +$46.75.
My strategy. Buy small pots, avoid big pots (except when I flopped my set of course). |

What your strategy - advice??? [/ QUOTE ] Check out the NL-Small Stakes forum here. My advice. Start at the $25NL tables. The play at the 25NL is an insult to poker. Just play super tight and fold if someone moves allin unless you have a REALLY good read on them. [ QUOTE ] What's the fun in that. You'd get blinded away. Never make any money. You've got to open up your PF hands a little more than that I think. [/ QUOTE ] The blinds are very small, so you are unlikely to be blinded off. The full ring tables are very profitable, but the correct strategy is to play very tight. With the new 100BB buyin, this is more true than ever since you will be paid off huge when you hit. If you are looking for fun and profit, play the 6-max tables like I do. That's where the real action is, and you actually get to play hands other than AA. |
