I think that a fair amount of women would like to see a female president now
There's never been a female presidential nominee from a major party, so we can't really say what her chances would be. But there was a female vice presidential nominee in 1984, and her ticket received less female votes than the opposing all-male ticket. Ideology trumps gender bias. I honestly believe that at 90-95% of men would have no problem voting for a female candidate who agreed with them politically. Your comments imply that a significant percentage of the male voting public feel threatened by a woman with power. I disagree, and I certainly don't. |

Hillary Clinton will never become president.
I actually hope the Democrats select her as their 2008 nominee, because it will ensure a Republican victory. |

I'm not as convinced as most everyone else seems to be that she will necessarily get the DP nomination. It probably won't help her chances that Howard Dean will be running the DNC. Even if she does get the nomination, she won't be able to beat the Republican nominee--likely to be McCain, Giuliani, or Jeb Bush (long shots...maybe Bill Frist, Newt Gingrich, Mark Sanford, or Condy Rice). |
