Default Breaking in New Chips?

I just bought a new set of 500 from Holdem Poker Chips....they are great, but they will be a lot better after breaking them in. I know there is no substitute for actual use, but it will be a while before these get much action.

Any ideas in the meantime? I vaguely remember hearing somewhere to put them in a pillowcase, then throw them in the dryer (Or is that the way I break in counterfeit money? Tough to keep it all straight.)

Can't remember...any thoughts?

Of course clicking on your link was very easy. Maybe I should have tried that first.

Which chips did you get? I would not recommend using a pillow case if you got one of the ceramic varieties...

You're exactly the guy I wanted to ask...I wasn't in time to get in on the initial order of your Ehyptian chips, so I went with the "Desert Sands" chips from the same company.

I was assuming that they were the same type of chip that you got, so I figured that they were well researched....you do good work. Are these the same type of chip, and how did you break them in?

They are very close in quality. The main difference is that the face of mine are a little smoother. There's not much difference at all. I really like the DS design too.

You don't need to do anything to break them in except use them. After one night of play they should feel like they will from now on. Since they are ceramic, no oiling or tumbling is necessary, and might actually do them harm.
