Default Ginourmous pot

So how many times do you fold this? Table is loose as all get out so i didn't mind calling 2 cold off the bat. Once i got to the flop the pot was a freakin monster. I don't think i was getting correct odds on the flop but it was so big i just couldn't drop it.

Fold preflop. Fold the flop. I would at least 3-bet the turn, although you are probaly losing to a higher set.

I will repeat again, fold preflop

Honestly, you played this hand terribly, on every street.

Fold preflop. Fold the flop. You might have a hit miracle on the turn, or hit a strong second-best hand. But throw in some raises on the turn and river.

I don't like the cc pre-flop at all, but won't harp on it given your preamble about loose as all get out and your apparently strongly-held view that it was an OK cold-call.

The flop call sucks, though. You have a 2-outer (no backdoor draws at all) against a pre-flop raiser and capper, getting 15:1, with the pf-capper to act behind you. If it gets three-bet and all call, your two-outer is getting 13:1; if it gets capped, you're getting 11:1. Fold the flop.

EDIT: And your 2-outer is not at all a sure-fire winner.

And one of his outs puts 3 to a flush on the board.

Good point.

To the original poster: Don't take the harsh criticism in this thread personally. Evryone is expressing their view and trying to do so clearly and with conviction. Based on your post count you're probably new to the forums (unless you've been lurking for a long time) -- people will not mince words here about others' play. But you should look at sincere, explained criticism as way more valuable than the occasional "Nice hand."

In rereading the thread, it sounds like we're all coming down hard on you as an individual -- I just want to put in a word that getting clear feedback like this is way better than lurking, never posting, never mixing it up in the discussion, and never being forced to think / defend your position. You'll learn a lot more a lot more quickly if you join the game and argue / express yourself than will those 50 others (for every poster) who lurk and read and remain silent.

Welcome to the forums!

EDIT: Well, your reg date indicates you may have been lurking for a long time. Post more!

Thanks for all the responses. I know it's not a personal attack on me. I felt like a fish throwing money in the pot and i figured i'd post it here to see just how bad i did. The giant pot just clouded my judgement and i made some awful plays. The thinking part of me kept wanting to hit fold but the mouse never made it there. It's nice to have some sense slapped into me sometimes and if i didn't get it here no one would do it.

awful, just absolutely awful

do you realize that every single time you clicked that call button, you were either marginally or completely wrong in doing so? The second preflop coldcall is the only one you could consider OKish. I dont think i would have hit the call button once in this hand at any given point.

not to mix words...but you couldnt have played it any worse

I would fold this preflop. Otherwise, I would fold the flop. There aren't even close to being break even pot odds on the flop. Being trapped between two preflop raisers is not a good place to be in with a weak holding like that.
