World's easiest raise.
Charge the EP players to hit their gutshot/flush/ace.
Start calling if you get 3-bet. Raise a non-A/[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] turn if it's not heads-up.

The villan ought to have a pretty good starting hand, but that doesn't mean he has AA. In fact, if you limit the range of hands you put the villan on to G1 hands (eg, AA-JJ, AK), of the 25 possible hand combinations (6 x AA, 1 x KK, 6 x QQ, 6 x JJ, 6 x AK), you are ahead of 19 and tied with 1. That's you're a 19:6 favoritye in this hand.

Even if you limit villan's hands to AA, KK, QQ and AK, your'e still a 13:6 favorite.

I'm only calling a 3-bet on the flop because a cap doesn't help me protect my hand and sets up another protection check-raise on the turn. (Actually, I raise a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] turn, too, you have a redraw to the 2nd nuts.)

Edit: oops, replied to wrong hand.

Still J8 didn't river a gutshot. What did button really have?

What do you mean? Hero raised the flop unless you mean he should waited until the turn to raise (which would be contradictory to your earlier response).

This is what we should do Dave...call the flop and raise the turn. This is the concept you helped me understand yesterday "forego the flop raise if it increase the chance of being bet into on the turn"

This had is from page 163 and 164 in SSHE
