Seattle Poker - anywhere worth going to?
I'll be heading up to Seattle for the weekend and wanted to find out where to find some decent low-limit games? Also, if anyone from 2+2 plays regularly out there, let me know, I'd like to meet some 2+2ers this weekend.
I'd also be interested in tournaments if anywhere closeby runs weekly Saturday/Sunday ones. Thanks in advance, Al |

Where are you staying? In Seattle itself, or one of the 'burbs?

Re: Seattle Poker - anywhere worth going to?
My in-laws live in Bothell and I've played in several games. I'm not regular there but here are my reviews:
Castle: This is a small room, only 3 tables. They only spread 2-4 the few times I went there. I really enjoyed this place for several reasons: close by my in-laws house, very friendly staff, very soft games, they cater to the "younger" crowd (even though I'm in my 30's I prefer this). They also have some low buy-in tournaments but don't know the schedule off hand. Kenmore Lanes: In a bowling alley, with several tables. I think the lowest spread game is a 3-6 with a Kill. I played during the work day and the cliente was working class or retirees - nothing wrong with that just noting it. They served free food - chicken fingers when I was there. Nice place but wasn't my cup of tea. Tulalip: An Indian casino north of Seattle. A nice and clean room. I again went during the work day in the morning and they had some trouble getting the first 4-8 game going even with props and a dealer playing but several hours there was 2 4-8's and I think a 6-12. Nice place but for me the commute was pretty far. Goldies: I thought there was a rougher cliente and the room was small and somewhat dingy. I believe I played either a 2-4 or 3-6 game there. Again games were soft here. There are several other rooms nearby such as the Hideaway, etc. Overall I thought the Castle at low limits was the best especially on the weekends or nights. You may also try the Muckleshoot (The Muck) as I hear there are good games there. I've never been there. |

Re: Seattle Poker - anywhere worth going to?
Sunday there's the lils (Diamond Lil's in renton) $45/20 addon / 20 rebuys for the first hour at diamond lils. Tournament starts at 10 but you'll want to be there by 9:10-9:15 at the latest to register.
The only tournament i've played at saturdays is the Golden Nugget in Tukwila. It's 25+5 and fills anywhere from 1-2, maybe three tables on a really good week. It's a very soft tournament. Tournament starts at 8:30am (i think they also run one in the evening, maybe 5:30?). If you decide to play either of them PM me, i'll be playing one or the other for sure this weekend. As far as limit goes your options change a lot depending on the exact limit you want to play and where you will be staying / how far you want to drive. 4/8 or 6/12 I'd go to diamond lils unless you have a big problem with smoke. If that's the case go to the non-smoking casino in the area (Tulalip) for 4/8. 3/6 and 4/8 at the muckleshoot (in auburn). It's the biggest cardroom in the area. For 2/4 and 3/6 there are a variety of smaller cardrooms if you want to play in a little backwater 3-6 table room. If that's the case let us know and i can give some reccomendations for those depending on where in seattle you'll be. |

I won't get in until around noon Saturday, so I'll have to pass on the earlier one. I'll most likely try to get in something between 2-4 and 4-8, but I'd also be interestedin watching you Seattle people that know what you're doing, rather than just my normal fumble at small stakes .
