Any PokerTracker+Playerview Alternatives??
So for some reason the computer I'm on has basically told me to screw myself when I try to run PokerTracker. Is there any other comparable software with the capabilities of Playerview (either included or as an add-on) that I can use? Thanks!
PS - Oh and if anyone can help me fix my computer to get PT to work, I'd have no problem paying them for it. Thanks! |

Re: Any PokerTracker+Playerview Alternatives??
What exact problem are you having with PT? Post the error message or something.
AFAIK, PV and GT+ are the only "HUDs". |

Re: Any PokerTracker+Playerview Alternatives??
Everytime I try importing hand histories it crashes when it gets to "updating ring game player statistics". It also crashes anytime I try to view ring game player statistics. Here's an excerpt with some more details:
>When it gets to "loading players from ring games...." when importing hands or when trying to view ring game statistics it crashes and says that: Sybase Inc. Product File has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. I am using Windows XP Home. Help!!!!!!!! Reply from Tom: Can you repair the database using the steps here: http://www.pokertracker.com/forum/vi...ghlight=repair We may have been through this already with this PC but please try again. That didn't work and it crashes when trying to repair the database so I'm thoroughly confused here. Tom says my computer is screwed and he can't help. Maybe someone here has an idea?? |

Re: Any PokerTracker+Playerview Alternatives??
The first thing I'd do is uninstall PT and delete the program files/pokertracker directory, then re-install. Have you tried this?

Re: Any PokerTracker+Playerview Alternatives??
How big is the database you are using and what are the specs on your PC? (processor and ram?)

Re: Any PokerTracker+Playerview Alternatives??
TheMetetron,
I thought i replied to this so if this is a dupe just ignore it. It looks like you have corrupt Jet database drivers. Windows always has a good time randomly destroying drivers in this fashion. Has it always not worked or did something happen and it just stoped working (power went out, hard turn off/reset?) I suggest downloading the latest Jet service pack from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/239114#3 Also if you haven't installed SP1 or SP2 give it a whirl (just run windows update). If this all fails let me know and i'll try to help. Gus |

Windows XP Home SP 2
512 MB RAM 40 GB HD Pentium 4, 1.6 Ghz It has never worked since I tried installing PT, but I had this computer for well over a year before I installed PT. There is nothing in the database yet, since the damn program has never worked. |

Do you have MDAC 2.8+? Go to Microsoft and search to download.

Re: Any PokerTracker+Playerview Alternatives??
Installed that and it said:
Setup has detected taht the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update. Uninstalled, redownloaded, and reinstalled PT and still didn't work. Argh! |
