Default An invitation to 2+2ers

The Pocket Idiot's Guide to Texas Hold'em is just out, by Randy Burgess and myself. We'd welcome critiques from 2+2ers. You guys are really not the target audience -- this is a beginner book -- but I'd be interested in hearing what you like and what you would add/subtract/do differently. So if you see the book at B&N or wherever, please take a quick look (or buy a copy for a newbie friend!) and post your thoughts.

Sounds like a great prop for times when I need to add some jocularity into the game. I'll get it!

PC in nm I don't know. But the other three responders are exactly the kind of sarcastic, annoying, childish -- but good playing -- readers from whom comments are most welcome. Want proof? In the acknowledgements, you'll see that we had Joe Tall read and comment on the manuscript.

Okay, I've just received my copies and, not to be immodest, I think this is absolutely the best true beginner book out there. Think of a friend who plays in home games or has seen HE on TV and wants to play, or who has played in a casino once or twice.
If there's stuff we missed (or that you think is wrong) I'd love to hear about it.

Let me be clear -- I am NOT suggesting 2+2ers buy this book (as I said originally), except as a gift for a newbie friend. However it will be in B&N and other stores and is easy skim-mable. I hope folks who notice it when browsing will take a look and let us know their thoughts.
