Default Party 2/4 AK hand, turn decision

MP3 is loose/passive. Button seems to be a bit loose/aggressive, albeit a small sample (20 hands, 40/5/2).

I'd check call here. My initial guess is that he has A2 and you are way ahead. If he is LAGish, he is probably just trying to scare you out.

That's a pretty bad guess.

I think it's a good guess on the flop, but it becomes a questionable guess when you get raised on the turn.

What's your guess?

Yea, its fine on the flop but we saw the turn so its pretty bad now. My guess is something with a 5 in it so I get to SD as cheap as possible unless I river an ace.

Aggression won't get us more money if we are ahead, but will cost dearly if we are behind. Calling down is the way to go.

You're getting big pot odds, and your hand is good enough that I don't fold.

He is likely to have an ace, but beyond that it's hard to say. Because he didn't raise preflop and then raised the field on the flop, I would guess it's a suited ace that made two pair. Given the two 5's, we may think he's more likely to have A2 than A5.

But the thing is, would he really raise A2 in a protected pot after you 3-bet the flop and his kicker got counterfeited? I doubt it, but I just think the pot is too big to give up. I suspect he has you beat with A5, but you're getting a good enough price on your money.

Good hand. Let us know how it turns out. Hope you won.

Even though I know I'm beaten, I called the turn raise "because the pot is big, and I have top two pair, top kicker". MP3 calls, also.

River is the J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, MP3 checks, button bets, we both call. Button has A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for the flopped two pair and turned full house, MP3 has A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
