What I Learned From Tonight\'s \"Tilt\' Episode
The next time I play in the backroom of a black strip club, I am not going to check my piece at the door, that way when a "brother" strings bets I can whip out the gun and make everything turn out ok.
THANKS ESPN! |

I haven't watched most of it. I did learn from the little that I saw that raising is better than calling on the river when you put your opponent on a bluff.

You can't forget this!
When you are trying to put your opponent on a you need to say it out loud. Then actually visualize the cards as if they were right side up. The tough part of course is figuring out which one is the 6 of spades and which one is the 6 of clubs. |

I learned I need to start playing more hands like 10-6 off 3-4 suited 22 4-6 suited 56 [/ QUOTE ] You forgot to add play 22 in middle postion after an UTG raise of 40 times the big blind (I think the blinds were 50/100). Writing like this is exactly why I hope this show lasts at least two seasons. God bless the writers of this show. They had to have drafted this script while looking directly into an aquarium. |

If he thought he could taunt his opponent into reraising all-in as a bluff, or doing it with top pair (at the end of the hand he said he put him on a pair), the raise was worth it. Reraising with 22 in MP after a 40xBB raise UTG . . . well, that's iffier . |

Re: What I Learned From Tonight\'s \"Tilt\' Episode
Did you notice that when The Matador raised it to $4000 pre-flop he said "bet" not "raise"?
