Muck preflop, but other than that, nice hand.

Muck preflop.

Ummm, I don't know. You're not too worried about being dominated and it's only 1 bet with a suited one-gapper. I don't think 64s is a bad hand to call 1 bet out of the BB with several people to the flop.

I suppose my reads on the opponents in the hand might influence, but probably not.

EDIT: This may be bad advice - hoping one of the better players in here might confirm / smite my remarks.

While it's probbaly close or something, think of it less as "suited one-gapper" and more as "six-high." This tends to put things into perspective for me.

Mrs. Schroedy is not me, it's my wife.

I am inclined to call out of the big blind here because (1) I am getting 11 to 1 preflop, and I gotta think my odds of getting something worthwhile on the flop are more like 6-7 to 1 with this suited 1 gap, and (2) as actually happened, it is highly likely that I am going to collect a lot of bets against these players, or someone holding something like AA or KK when I hit.

When I miss, I am gone for the one bet, and if I hit lightly (one pair or inside straight draw only) I am gone to anything more than 1 flop bet (2 more bets maximum as opposed to folding preflop). As we see on a perfect hand, I stand to collect around 15 or more big bets so the payout is running between 20-30 to 1 on what is at most a 10:1 dog.

To me, that's a lot of equity and I call the one bet pre-flop.

Liar!

If you were getting 11:1 on your call, it would be an easy call. You aren't. You're getting 7.5:1.

The pf probably doesn't matter much, but I'd muck this quickly.

Other than that, nice hand.

I think mucking re-flop is dependent on 2 factors:

1) Your ability to get away from a flop like K-10-6 with one club without bleeding chips

2) Your read on how big people will pay off if you do hit. On some tables, big pots just don't happen often. On others, pots of 15+ BBs are happening every 4 or 5 hands.

If I am going to call this from the BB I have to feel I am on top of my game and the read on the table as a whole has to be right...
