What's the best way to set up a single 9 man table. Say we want to give each player $2500 in chips and start the blinds at 25/50. What the best way to increase them from there? Please advise
Thx. |

Any way you want. In my home game we decide before each game -- it makes for good (or inane) debate before we start to play. But it usually looks something like:
starting chips 4000 20 minute rounds Blinds : 25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 200/400, 300/600, 400/800, 500/1000, 1000/2000 ... |

although i'm not a big fan of our structure it's quick and easy.
we will usually start with 30 chips. start the blinds at 1/2 and increase them every half hour. 2/4, 3/6. 4/8. we usually only have 4-5 players and they go quickly. often we decide to double the blinds earlier when it gets to heads up. i'm not a big fan of this structure as it makes things more of a crapshoot but it keeps everyone involved. if someone goes out early they usually don't have to wait too long to get back in. when we play a bigger game we will start with more chips. but if it's just $5 or $10 we just go with it. |
