Default Odds of a Misclick

I was thinking about this the other day, and it's sort of an interesting question. What are the odds of a misclick: what pot odds would you need to call a river bet on the pure hope that your opponent misclicked?

I've never misclicked in terms of betting or raising when I meant to do something else. The only time something like this has happened is a few times I was in the BB and meant to click the 'check' box, but as I was clicking someone raised and the check box turned into the call box and I checked that box instead and called a raise with some crap. But even that has only happened maybe twice.

I once folded quads because a of a misclick. The dang window switched on me from another table where I was about to fold.

Same cause for me. 3-tabling on 1024x768 laptop display. I just folded a straight two nights ago for my first misclick in 15k hands since starting a fresh hand tracking database. Funny how I managed to hit fold rather than check or raise. That 11BB pot and I were not meant to be, I guess.

I'm in EP with 1000 chips 4 hands into a Royal Vegas 100k freeroll I misclick and call a bet of 300 or so with K9o.

I hit middle pair on the flop and go allin he pairs an ace on the river and its all over. hadn't played on that site in a while and wasn't familiar with the buttons--meant to fold. Frustrating to be out in 4 hands when you make time to play in a big MTT. And it wasn't even with KK against AA. I'm OK with that.

Sorry had to vent.

I dunno about you guys, but I can only remember misclicking once over the past 20k or so hands. Making stupid clicks because I didn't spend enough time looking at the board? That's another story.

It's difficult to know whether the person is multitabling, looking at porn or whatever.

What's an example of a hand that can only beat a misclick?

All of the situations I could think of involve incredibly passive opponents. Say you are playing against an opponent who never raises without at least a set. You get in a raising war with AK preflop and on the flop against a player who dumps his hand on the turn (a TAG who had an overpair to the flop but gets check-raised after your A hits the turn). There was a two-flush on the flop and passive boy is in there for all the bets and raises. The draw gets there on the river and he check-raises you.

It's tough to come up with a good situation where your only hope is a misclick. And none of them are that likely to happen.
