Re: Deep $1500+ 200 NL Stacks Party - AQo
were you afraid of a raise on the river? maybe he had AKo with Kd? i'm not sure the raise to 80 means 33... i'd think he would've raised more with the two diamonds out there if he had the set. maybe he had A3? or AQ even? if he had you beat he had you beat from the flop...

Somewhat - Deepstacks, calling 25 w/ 33 isn't a bad move
its automatic with these stacks. |

Re: Deep $1500+ 200 NL Stacks Party - AQo
Raise less on the flop. I cant see you getting called by much that you have beat. I cant see A3s calling that flop raise.
I think you scared the death out of 33 here (with an outside chance at QQ), but I could be wrong. I think I would have raised less on the flop, say to $180-200. then bet 300 on the turn. We need a little more info on the player to talk about the river check. It sure looks like a bet, but I just cant see what the hell this guy has, and if he will call a bet on the river. He either got very attached to a strongish draw on the flop, (K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]), and wont call anything, has 33 and thinks you have QQ or AA, or you guys are splitting the pot. interested to hear the results, although based on your "was this weak" tone of the post, I am sure we will see A3 or AK. Re: Deep $1500+ 200 NL Stacks Party - AQo
I really hope you put that guy on your buddy list if you havent already.
No shame in checking behind there, no hand you beat is calling anyways I dont think, and a CR all in might cause me to throw up on my twin Dell's. I'm good to go when it comes to building a nice stack like that but I don't have much deepstack experience. that'll come. again, no shame in getting up when you are real deep and cashing out and coming back or going to a different table. that is, if there are other players who are solid who are deep as well. when I get deep now in online games, I drool when I see a bad-ok player with a huge stack. one mistake means I can get a good chance at their stack. most online players dont know how to play deep, and still play TPTK for a bunch of chips, which is great for you. it seems like you are still learning NL some and it would suck to misplay a hand and have a $800 decision in that party game, when you dont have much experiance. nice hand and gl to you. fsuplayer |

Re: Deep $1500+ 200 NL Stacks Party - AQo
I like how you played in on the flop, maybe the raise was a little too much but its tells you he doesnt have a set.
So you have the fourth best hand. The bet on the turn is way to small, unless your trying to control the pot size. If I even think a player has a busted flush draw on the river, I usually bet very very small, so It may induce them to try to steal a nice pot. |
