Default Another limit movin, stat checkin feedback beggin post

Started with $200 at .5/1, lost it, figured I should learn how to play, read books, came here, got PokerTracker and started over. My plan is to just keep moving up making sure I am winning and improving as I go kinda like everyone else here I suppose. So after 11K bonus whoring hands on the Party skins I was hoping to get some feedback on the stats before I make the move to 1/2. Like some others I was wondering if skipping 1/2 and moving to 2/4 is something to consider(bankroll not an issue) and what the differences are between the levels. I'm in no hurry so I imagine the experience at 1/2 would be worthwhile? Where does 1/2 6max fit in?

Ok, so I probably play too many hands. Every raise after I limp in with questionable cards reinforces that. Will the VPIP naturally drop at tighter tables or is it a discipline thing? I've been working on toning down my fascination with the flush. The BB/100 is likely high and not sustainable but encourageing and responsible for a new computer and 1600x1200 monitor for more efficient fishing.

Final question. I am going to Vegas (backgammon tourney) in two weeks and will play in some 2/4 games here and there. As far as looseness goes, which level is more comparable to the live games there, .5/1, 1/2, or 2/4? I may delay the move up if the answer is .5/1.

Thanks to everyone on the forums, to Ed & the 2+2 library, the fish & maniacs at party skins, and of course my mom.

Your stats look good, though your flop raise should be over 2 IMHO. Generally speaking, if you raise preflop, raise the flop. I moved up from .5/1 to 1/2, and have played some at 2/4. I personally would not suggest jumping from .5/1 to 2/4. There are more decent players, tight players, as you move up and you get an introduction to how to play against these players at 1/2. Plus, while you continue to learn, you pay a cheaper price for your mistakes.

I think the VP$IP is mostly a discipline thing. It is kind of fun to think back on my own, I had a VP$IP of 27% got yelled at here and now it is hard to imagine all the trash hands I must have been playing. Anyway, I think you are definately too loose and not aggressive enough pre-flop. I also think your aggression numbers are interesting, they increase every street while mine decrease from 3.6 on the flop down to 1.7 on the river. But that might be an artifact of your PF looseness, you see more marginal flops and call while I usally bet/raise/fold at once.

I think your VP$IP could stand to be taken down a couple points. But it's not terrible.

Also, ignore the individual hand stats, with an 11,000 hand database you haven't had each of those hands enough to draw any conclusions from.

Could be purely a sample size thing, but you seem to limp in Jxs quite a bit? What's your VP$P for these hands?

its all sample size. i included my top winners and losers in my stat posts (which everyone seems to be copying ) solely to show that they are completely useless to analyze at the 10K mark. I didn't expect everyone to copy that bit.

These are likely SB completions that were pumped and missed.

Doc, that flop aggression seems mighty low. Most micro'er styles have aggressive flops for pumping draws and made hands, buying the button, and free card plays. while the VPIP is a bit high, be specifically aware of your VPIP off the button. You seem to loosen up significantly once you hit the MP stage. Are you following a chart or something that recommends more hands in MP? This could be a sample size issue as well since you only have 1K hands per position.

I thought the flop aggression looked kind of low as well. Could part of that be a product of playing too many hands? I will have to look into that. I started off following SSHE tight game reccommendations which seems to add a lot of hands in middle position and I tend to play any two offsuit broadway and some Kxs once I get there as well.

If I'm not raising with them, I'm throwing away my offsuit broadways until i get to LP. I don't limp until LP with Kxs, either. My VPIP is around 19.75%.

sounds about right, I wouldnt mind seeing a little moneybag beside my name in the autorater.

Anyone have any thoughts on the comparison between live 2/4 in vegas and online .5/1, 1/2, 2/4 ?
