Default Cleve Guy and Pocket3s - playing 10+1 on pokerroom

We are going to try and sit together in a couple of these to learn from each other. We will not be colluding, and only discussing hands after they are over. Others are welcome to come watch and/or join in. We will post table names when we are at them.

This has got to be the tighest $10 +1 I've ever seen.

Almost through round 2, no one has under 1,000 yet

Use this to tell who is a good player and who isn't. This is after AK wins a pot off of A7 on an A78TT board... Player 1 is the A7 guy, Player 3 is the AK guy

<Player 1> [censored] river rat
<Cleveland Guy> AK is a river rat?
<Player 1> I had him beat to the river
<Player 1> two pair aces and 7s on the flop
<Player 1> board paired and [censored] me in the ass
<Cleveland Guy> that doesn't make him a river rat though
<Player 2> why would you play A 7?
<Player 1> lol
<Player 1> i called the big blind preflop
<Player 1> it was suited
<Player 3> you didnt actually raise on the flop did you
<Player 2> it was sooooted
<Player 1> lol
<Cleveland Guy> hey- relax
<Cleveland Guy> we each get to play out on way!
<Player 2> I get it, Don't tap the aquarium!
<Player 3> any brown trout in tonight?
------------- Later ---------
Board is AxKx
<Player 4> suited.... but you play your own game
<Player 1> you must have a2
<Cleveland Guy> how'd you guess?
<Player 1> 99
<Cleveland Guy> AK
<Cleveland Guy> and sutied
<Player 1> lol
<Cleveland Guy> and if we raising A2 suites, might as well do the same with AK
<Player 5> damn it
<Player 5> had to fold kings
<Player 5> fn ace
--------------Later----------
Right after a three way allin with KTo (Player 5), AQo (player 3) and A3o (zeek from below)
<Player 1> way to go zeek
<Player 1> step right up to the price is right
<Player 1> good luck on your voyage

Note: Player 1 went out in 9th.

Thanks for this durron.

I didn't see- who asked about the Brown Trout?

BTW - Sehprog, who is Pocket3's picked off my steal move.

Of course I try to steal from CO when he has AK. well played.

BlueEmu, I think. And since sehnprog knows you were likely on a steal, I think he is correct to call with any ace worth calling a PFR with.

looking back on it I think I was a bit to obvious. His cold call pre flop of a 3xBB raise should have told me something.

GL to him- next one will start when he is done

this was my first pokerroom game (BlueEmu if you didnt guess). i felt i played it like a chump. only got one good hand, early on (KK) then got blinded. if i remember correctly i misplayed a hand quite badly that didnt help (AQ v Kt v Ax)

edit, it is the hand mentioned above.

it cut me from 1400ish to 500ish; then it was just survival and trying to build my way up. i should of folded to the re-raise, i figured, quite wrongly, that i could push off the third guy to go heads up (i was sure i was ahead at that point). it was all sleep deprivation i tells ya .

played a game just after and got third (for a lifetime loss of 2 dollars at pokerroom), and now im gonna get some kip.

incidentally, how cool is the stats feature of the site. definately a plus. the fact that it doesnt easily tell you how long till the blinds increase during the game however is a big thumbs down.

is there a way to do it to display it properly? i just have it set up so it tells me the hand started and the results/blind level in green; so im basicly counting the hands every so often to work out when its going up. help much appreciated.

gonna explore the site further, finding hand histories am i right in thinking its not just whats shown in the chat box that you can download? if it is then thats shockingly bad. especially as the table seems to close itself after your eliminated (or was it just cos i pressed ok) and learning how many people are logged into the site is on the to do list.

is it just that im used to the uncluttered miniview of ladbrokes or is the background round the table really off-putting.

anyone know if the table can be replaced/changed by changing an image file a la party and empire.

anyway, glad to experience my first game with two 2+2ers. shame i put on such a bad show.

Phill- the Blue Emu (btw, dont ask, the emu is a long story)

Well it was a nice treat to have a 3rd 2+2'er at the table.

No wonder it was so tight, most games have people go out a lot sooner.

As for your comments on the site, I like it a lot. You have to go to the website to get hand histories, and players online. I'll be sure to look for you in the future.
