Default fantasy football trade proposal...

What do you all think about this trade that has been proposed in my fantasy league??

Team A

Priest Holmes,
Michael Vick,
Plaxico Burress

Team A has been vying to stay competitive, and these are the best players on his team, his other decent players being Brees (QB) Isaac Bruce (WR), and W. Mcgahee (RB)

FOR

Team B

Tory Holt,
Tiki Barber,
Chad Pennington

Team B also has Carr (houston QB) Jamal Lewis, Duce Staley, Andre Johnson, Michael Bennet (injured RB Minn)

I thank you all for your input...

Team B is getting by FAR the better deal, not even close IMO.

First of all, team A is by FAR getting the best deal. Tiki Barber is the #1 fantasy back this year so far in the season and Vick is not even a top 10 QB. Just because he is good for his team and an amazing athlete does not make him a good fantasy player. Holt is a solid top 5 reciever and up until last week Burress has done nothing. Basicly, every one of the players from team A has weaker corresponding stats in regard to position than every player being offered from team B.

Were only 6 weeks in...I doubt Tiki will end up being better than Priest this year. I doubt Pennington will end up being better than Vick this year.

I agree about Tiki, but I'm not so sure about Pennington/Vick. There isn't much evidence to indicate that Vick is going to be anything better than average. You can search and find posts of me talking they guy up, but it appears that both fantasy-wise and in the real world he is overrated. He is not the Second Coming, at least.

To make it worth it for you, you should switch up Jamal Lewis for Tiki because Jamal is suspended for 2 weeks and has a bye week next week. Than you could have Tiki and Priest which would be a lethal combo.

Trading Priest Holmes is a mistake. Failing to trade for Priest Holmes if offered is a mistake. You can construct deals where this is wrong, but they are so obviously ridiculous they would never be offered. Anything reasonable that involves Priest Holmes sides with him.

Vick had a solid fantasy week this week: 218 yards and 2 TD through the air plus 35 yards and a TD on the ground. I've got Vick and McNabb and this is the only week i've used Vick instead (our league starts both your QBs and takes the highest score of the two)

Vick and Priest are both players whose fantasy value is down but should be decent acquisitions at the moment. I think they'll both end up having strong fantasy seasons.
