freeroll final table
ok. im in the gaming club 1000$ freeroll. we are down to 9 out of 800. 1st place is 250$ and 9th place is 20$. the chipleader has 150k and im in 4th with 79k. blinds are at 1500/3000.
preflop: im dealt JJ on the button. 3 fold to mp player with 60k he calls,chip leader is next he calls, fold to me i raise 20k all fold to the other 2 and they both call(i have 59k left) flop come 10,4,10(rainbow) check,check,i bet 20 k one folds chip leader calls(i have 39k left) turn is an 8(i bet 10k)i have 29k left and chip leader goes all in. is there any way i can fold at this point? thanks. |

i'd probably say that moving in on the turn would have been a better idea, but i'm guessing you ended up losing so it's kind of a moot point.

On the flop there is ~65k in the pot and you have 59k left. Why is it you are not going all-in? Is there a point in betting 1/3 of the pot when you're probably not going to fold?
By going all-in, you can encourage the others to fold their overcards. It also allows you to avoid being bluffed out of the pot later. If he has a ten, not much you can do. You're pot-committed once you make a raise for 25% of your stack and follow it up with a bet of 33% of your remaining stack. |
