Fellow Poker Brethren,
what might one suggest in terms of ways of dealing with digruntled homegame poker opponents?....I play regularly in a very profitable NL homegame (not hosted by me), but unlike limit, a good player can book some very big victories on a very consistent basis.....I've found more and more of a frustrated/"snippy" attitude directed at me lately by several players.....joking around playfully, tactfully changing the subject, and faking "dumb-luck" gestures are starting to lose the ability to diffuse.....any thoughts? |

You are clearly too good for the game and wasting your time playing in it.
Move to Vegas and turn pro. It's your calling. scrub |

Loose more, that's the only thing that will help.

Only problem is that the biggest game you'd be able to find is a 5/10 PL. And Rocco and the boys would probably bore someone of your skills. You'd probably have to drop a stack every couple of nights so that they'd keep playing with you. On second thought, you had better just make it Vegas or S.F. scrub |

If you are really worried about this and the game is really good, go home a loser a couple of times in a row and do it in spectacular fashion. Lose your whole stack once or twice on really poor hands and act pained about it.

Been in a similar situation...and the game was paying most of my bills at the time.......the host of the game was particularly agitated with me..........but the game was short alot and they needed players......and the nature of poker is bad players will continue to lose and they wont stop playing with you...4 whatever its worth i countined to beat that game for about 3 years until they game broke for good.

If the games that profitable, then yeah give them some money back and try not to win as much when you do book wins.
