Default 100-200 AQo on Poker Stars

Just sat down, so no reads.

PokerStars 100/200 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $100.
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP2 folds, CO (poster) folds, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (11 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, SB raises, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (7.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.

River: (11.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 11.50 BB

Any comments on how I played the hand? I raised the turn to charge him extra if he was on a flush draw or to get him to fold a weak pair. I don't think he was folding to a bet on the river, but would you have tried anyway? Results are in white below.

SB: shows [3s 3c] (two pair, Jacks and Threes)
Hero: mucks hand
SB collected $2297 from pot

hey buddy, why does everything have to be a joke to you? I gave you honest advice on your 56...I just wanted to know if I should be betting the river or even folding on the turn instead of raising.

Really, now!

Actually this goes to show that you can't push a pocket out of the pot.

You tried to make a play in an online game and it didn't work? This is a shocking development. Just shocking. I am schocked.

Hi KushP,

I would prevent you from posting here, and, if given the opportunity, go back in time to prevent your birth.

Meh. I'll give a serious response because i think this hand has value and plays of raise-the-turn-for-the-free-showdown-with-ace-high are ones i'm doing too often.

Given the way SB played it it's unlikely he has a draw, UTG+1 raised preflop increasing the chances he may checkraise this flop so if SB had a decent draw it would be ideal for him to call, hope fr UTG+1 to raise, then reraise. Moreso the way he played it he's out of position and knocked a player out on the flop, seems like he's protecting something.

Hence for that reason i fold the turn instead of taking this to showdown. If i was going to take it to showdown i'd def. raise the turn.

Also, on a flop that isn't two rags one medhigh card i'd like the turn raise more as then you have a better chance of him having a low pair thus a better bluff success rate.
