Re: set of kings
If the flop comes all blanks and your opponent moves in, do you fold?

Re: set of kings
i think this is one of those really crappy situations where you lose your stack to set over set.
once you call his reraise preflop you are saying you don't think he has AA. in that case you can't fold the flop with less then half your stack left. once the flop comes your only hope is that he's a tool who overplays AK preflop. |

Re: set of kings
That comes under the: You're fuct...
That was extremely hard to avoid, so I can't fault you at all. It's a typical tournament bust out hand.... so in a cash game it's going to be just as bad... and you got the worst flop possible scenario... >TW< |

Re: set of kings
i do not understand your preflop play on this hand... the flop call is fine once youre in there, but you never should have seen a flop... unless your opponent is a total moron, he has aces. period. i understand kings are very hard to get away from in these situations. regardless, when he made the final raise, you should have folded or moved it in. calling half of your chips with KK is pointless. what happens if you dont flop a set? fold? ridiculous. you are both pot committed. there is no way he can get away from queens at this point. if he has AK(wishful thinking), he could fold on the flop if he misses everything, costing you $500. next time someone is generous enough to make a re-re-re-min-raise (instead of calling or moving in which may be QQ or AK) fold and brag to this message board about your strong lay down.[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
