When do the crazy calls stop?
Right now I'm playing some very low limit hold 'em. Mostly .50-1 and 1-2. As we all know people tend to play about anything at these limits. At what limits do you start to see people playing better cards and respecting raises more?
Example: 1-2 hold 'em. Besides the big blind I've played two or three hands the last three times the blinds have gone around the table. When I show down my winners I usually have a medium or better pocket pair in good position or hands like A-K, A-Q, K-Qs, etc. I raise under the gun with pocket As and get cold called from middle position by someone with Q-7s. He pairs his 7 on the flop but there is also an overcard to his pair of 7s. He continues to call my bets and catches runner-runner to win with a Q high flush, never having more than a pair of 7s until the end. I know that everyone takes bad beats but it seems that everytime there is a raise there are always people holding horrible cards that will call and won't fold until they see the river and still have nothing. At what limits do you see the anarchy start to subside? |

When you raise AA UTG, what's the best possible preflop outcome?

[/ QUOTE ] well he was asking the original poster, but technically, you limp UTG, UTG+1 raises, UTG+2 3-bets, everyone calls, you cap, everyone folds you gain 26 SB and don't have to see a flop |

Re: When do the crazy calls stop?
I hope they never stop. It would be tough to win if people folded these hands. I've been playing 15/30 online recently and have played as high as 20/40 in live games. The same stuff happens at all levels. I hope you realize that you don't want people to respect your raises when you have pocket Aces. You should be very happy with the outcome of this hand. You made Sklansky bucks. |

Re: When do the crazy calls stop?
Well thanks to bonus whoring you got some room, I got faith in ya!
How would you compare the 5/10 and the 15/30? I know you only got 3k hands for now, but whats are the first impressions...specifically pre-flop looseness and post-flop toughness. |
