Is this passive play correct?
I'm not the hero in this post but thought it was an interesting hand--at first it seems way too passive but maybe it's not so bad. I just sat down so no reads.
Party 3/6 Hero is MP3 with AcKh Pre flop UTG calls, hero calls, BB calls. Flop 3.33 SBs Kc Jd 6s Utg bets, hero calls, BB folds. Turn 5.33 SBs Jh Utg bets, hero calls. River 4.67 BBs Jc Utg bets, hero calls. Not raising preflop is obviously wrong but what about the other streets? |

Re: Is this passive play correct?
Misplayed on every street.
Raise the flop. Raise the turn. Raise the river. Other than that, looks good. |

Re: Is this passive play correct?
The posters suggestions are how I would normally play the hand. But I have been thinking about adding deception to my game when it gets short handed. So I like the play on the flop waiting to pop it on the turn. On the turn I figure the hero is either way ahead or way behind and calling makes sense to let the opponent bet his hand for him. The river is an obvious raise though.
But tell me if my thinking is wrong. |
