$55 - pushing with trash against a loose opponent.
PartyPoker - NL Texas Hold'em $50 Buy-in + $5 Entry Fee Tournament | Level: 7 - 5 players (Converter: PGC)
Chip Counts: Button: 3250 Chips Hero: 1215 Chips BB: 2000 Chips UTG: 1920 Chips CO: 1615 Chips Hero is SB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Blinds are 150/300 PreFlop UTG folds, CO folds, Button folds Hero is All-In I'm still new to the $55s so I'm not sure if making moves like this is necesarry. I've pushed into the villians BB at least 3-4 times so far. So my image is that of a blind stealer. One hand stands out that I remember from the villian. He had 1675 in chips with Q7o. Blinds were 100/200. CO pushes 625 and villian calls. Villian caught a Q to beat the CO who had 99. SNGPT says that if the villian calls 22+,A2+,K2+,Q5o+,Q2s+,J8o+,J7s+,T8s+,98s or tighter, then this is a good push. 1) So am I correct to read that this guy is capable of calling with sub-optimal hands? 2) Do you push this anyways? |

Re: $55 - pushing with trash against a loose opponent.
With super ultra maniac range in SNGPT, this is +2.1%.
You left me at the $22s |

Yea, I've killed those 22s and 33s for a while now. And my bankroll is around $4500. So I figured I'm due to take a few stabs at the $55s.

Re: $55 - pushing with trash against a loose opponent.
I wouldn't push here against this guy after pushing so many times already. That said, I can't imagine his calling standards being loose enough to make this a bad push. Hows that for waffling? So my answer is... I wouldn't push, but I really should according to SNGPT. He would have to call with some real trash to make your push bad.

Re: $55 - pushing with trash against a loose opponent.
It would take special people to call with 9 high here. I don't think many, if any, exist at the $55's. Plus this ups your FE on future pushes. Push all day long.

[/ QUOTE ] Calling 425 to win 925 with what are likely two live cards doesn't seem like something that should stand out. [ QUOTE ] 1) So am I correct to read that this guy is capable of calling with sub-optimal hands? [/ QUOTE ] What do yo mean by sub-optimal hands? If you're pushing nearly 100% of hands, he's right to call with a range wider than you give. It doesn't seem to me that hands outside your given range are sub-optimal for him. [ QUOTE ] 2) Do you push this anyways? [/ QUOTE ] I think so. A factor for me is the big stack to your right which might mean you get fewer opportunities than normal. |

I dont get it. It's a very clear push against anything but ridiculous ranges, whats the problem dudes?

Re: $55 - pushing with trash against a loose opponent.
I don't know. It was probably me just over-thinking myself. I had pushed way too many times and I could tell he was getting pissed. I figured his range would be way wider than normal. But I did push, no way I couldn't.
