400 6 max AK

400nl on prima. I play TAG, dont know if opponents realise this or not. Im 6 tabling so my reads are a little off. Villan is bb in this hand and has me covered. I get AK suited utg and make it 16. button calls, villan calls in sb.

Flop comes K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to me, I bet 40 into 50 pot. button folds, sb min raises. HMM. I call. Turn is a 4 rainbow. 210 in pot. Villan puts me allin for about 220.

The flop action screams set, but on a draw-less board I don't know why villain would bet the turn so hard. Still, there's no way he doesn't put AK as your most likely hand here, with the possibility of AA. He probably knows there's a small chance he can take you off AK (if you're ahead) and a much smaller chance of taking you off AA; thus, this probably isn't a bluff, and I think you're behind. Fold.

I play about the same stakes on prima.

I'd probably fold this but there are a few players (who all just happen to be european aggros) I would never ever fold that to. Villian was probably one of them. I've never been a fan of making a move just to make a move but they'll do it. They definitely make the variance go up and love to put pressure on the opponent.

I call.... he screams a set... who do you think you are playing "Johnny or Daniel" comon. is absoluletly may put you on an A or even KJ... he is certainly not defining your hand as listed above. I assume you were referring to my post, and I don't understand what you mean. A flop min-CR with a set isn't that sophisticated, it's a typical reaction to try to sucker someone in. As for villain putting hero on as bad a hand as KJ, how many TAGs raise KJ to 4xBB from UTG?

There was exactly one drawing hand on the flop, and even that hit. There's no reason for villain not to think hero has something here, so unless the table conditions have dictated that every pot is heavily contested, fold.
