Perhaps I should clarify.
The variance associated with playing 180-man SNG's full time is absolutely nuts and I would not wish it on anyone. There is nothing wrong with playing 180-man SNG's to compliment stuff like SNG's or cashgames play, but it is not something you should do full time unless you have very deep pockets and incredibly good patience. I don't question that the EV in these games is big for talented SNG and MTT players, but the variance is just killer. Nothing is worse than spending 3 hours on something and bubbling when you could have ten tabled 22's or 33's for so much more. |
