After winning a lot, I'm now losing a lot. I feel my play has actually gotten better, and I know what my major leak is (plugging it is another matter), but I'm just hurting. I won't post the two hands within a day where my boats lost to quads, but I WILL post this one. Is there anything I should have done differently here?

That guy got incredibly lucky that all 4 aces were out, there's nothing you can do about that. He probably gets them cracked pretty often limping like that.
After villain capping the turn, I would definitely just check-call the river. |

Check-call river.

His turn play looks like he had A5/A3 or AK - he didn't raise the flop so 55/33 is less likely. We are ahead of these hands and we only lose to the less likely AA. So value betting the river is fine I think.

Don't post results and probably check-call the river, given your typical passive opponent.

There's nothing you could do against this passive opponent who starts to give you action when he hits trips (must have had his aces cracked often and is now scares I think)
You could suspect AK, A5 or something like that on the turn, but on the river even a flush completed, so I says check/call the turn When someone plays aces like this you cannot suspect them, even if you think of aces that would beat you on the turn, you must have thought "no way he has aces, he didn't show strength earlier on" |

I'd check/call the river. he really likes his hand on the turn, so I'd say it's time to save myself a bet.

How could anyone check-call this river is beyond me. You can't adjust your overall strategy becuase of some players who play in a way that defies reason. Unless he raised preflop I would cap this all the way. Then when I lost I would look in disbelief, sigh, then add a note about this player. Don't adjust your overall strategy becuase of 1 crazy person.
