Re: The debit cards they gave out in NO
There was a picture on one of the websites, with some lady flashing her debit card to the camera, with her visa logo the pic is probably somehwere in hte politics forum still. If it has a visa logo, you dont need the pin to use it.

Bullsh*****
They got $2000.
That will buy 2.5 $800 bags. Big deal. How come Bush when first elected great tax giveaway of $2000 to everybody but the real poor trying to raise kids was such a good deal, and $2000 to people who lost everything they had is bad? |

Re: Bullsh*****
Okay.
$2000 tax rebate to everybody, good. Real good because they will go out and spend money on stuff, and the economy needed a boost after 10 straight years of increasing prosperity. $2000 to taxpayers who have lost everything, bad. Real bad, because they will go out and spend money on stuff. Especially since the economy wouldn't need a boost after a huge disaster. Thanks for clearing that up. |

No one who used to live in New Orleans paid taxes because they don't work (income tax) and they don't buy anything (sales tax). Yup. And no one deserves a helping hand when their homes are destroyed, their jobs are lost, their banks are under water, their insurance companies won't pay out for months, their friends and family are scattered or missing... |
