Default AA, What do you think about this

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fulltilt 3/6 7 handed

I have know reads on opponents and they have none on me as this is the first time I have played in this game, other than the game has been pretty tight after about 3 orbits.

I'm on the button with 2 red aces.

2 folds, MP raises, fold, cutoff 3 bets, I call 3 cold, SB folds, BB folds, MP calls.

FLOP: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],

check, bet, call, call

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

check, bet, raises, call, reraise, reraise, call, call

River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img](ouch)

bet, fold, I cry and call

I'm really interested in the preflop and flop

I think u'll see a flush AND A5 here a total of about 70% of the time.

The other 30% of the time you'll see 2 pair or trips.

Fold the turn, they're all telling you you're beat.

Given the preflop action I think you are looking at A5 like 0% of the time.

I think you really really need to cap preflop.

Who's "they're all"? Only one villain is betting and raising.

What do you put the betting/raising villian on? What hands do you think he 3-bet PF that hit this board?

To the OP, raise/cap this flop. Hopefully you're against KK or QQ and the third player will end up putting in a lot of chips chasing his draw.

I also thought that was 3 bets back to you on the turn, hard to tell who is reraising.

These are exactly the hands that I had hoped they would be on and were on(at least the one said he had kings). If I raise preflop and raise on the flop they are still both in and the pot is smaller. What is wrong with waiting till the turn? This pot was 20BB's, the other way it gets to maybe 14 or 16. I want to punish the person with and king's and the person on the draw. I am going to take 1st or 2nd in this pot(unless the river is the king of hearts then I can take 3rd but no matter). I am going to win it more than I loose it. Why is my concern not winning the biggest pot I can when I do win?

I think you're being a little results oriented. Most of the time your opponent is not putting in 4 bets on the turn with a hand that you beat. So this time you got a few more bets from disguising your hand, but in the long haul I think there is lot more value in putting in the bets preflop and on the flop when you know your hand is a big favorite.

As another person pointed out, I think you're being results oriented.
- roughly 1/3 of the cards in the deck are going to ruin your action or leave you behind on the turn.
- you don't know that the MP is going to stick around for bets on the turn, since he could be correctly peeling with as little as 4 outs.
- You don't know that the CO has a big pair. A PF 3-bet could be AK or AQ and he may end up folding to a bet or raise on the turn.
- If the CO does have a big pair, then they're going to 3-bet you on the flop. In that case, you can call and hope to raise the turn which will put an extra 3BBs in the pot over the line you took.

agreed, the action, not being converted by position, is a little confusing.

Maybe my recommendations were off based on the fact that I don't quite understand who's doing the raising and such.

I thought 2 people were going back and forth raising and hero was calling 3 cold with AA.
