totally insane or dead read?
Am I insane to trust a read this much?
I played 1/2 limit at AP tonight wide open table (55-60% saw flop). I felt I had this guy read perfect. Someone said I was stone cold to call down a board of face cards with pocket 3's in a $20+ pot. IF they had been paying attention they'd have known when he raised it facing 2 bets or more (or called a capped pot) he was playing trash - EVERY time. If he smooth called he had face cards/big pairs. I sat down he had $167 I had $50. When this hand took place I was at $110 he was at $50ish. I took $40 from him in about 3 hrs. Somehow this was among the HH's I didn't get tonight rolling them past the 200 max. |

Re: totally insane or dead read?
There were so many wild boards with him I THINK the flop was JJT, turn A, river Q.
It was almost a you had to be there live. |

Re: totally insane or dead read?
Someone posted about a week back that most LAGs have a pattern to their lagginess -- with a little hand history study you can figure them. Sounds like you did that.
Calling down a maniac heads-up with a marginal made hand in a decent pot is pretty standard. |

Re: totally insane or dead read?
Okay, limit is a new experiance. I'd never tried something like that, but, I just "knew" when he had nada. Glad to know it's more standard than the table I was playing thought. I REALLY don't need to develope any bad habits at limit, it's hard enough for me to make $$.
