What\'s the deal with \"popular\" PokerStars images?
I am just getting into no-limit multitable tournaments on pokerstars and often see the same icons for different players. Not just different versions of a team logo or something, but the exact same image. Here is an example that I have seen at least 8 people using:
There is another with a fuzzy blue moutain ridge also. Neaither of these mean anything to me, so I am not sure if it has any significance (why more than one person would choose it), or if a local crew of players is using it, or whatever. I have never seen two players at the same table using the same icon, so I don't think it is used for collusion (anyone want to play against 8 yellow banners?). Any ideas? |

The fuzzy blue ridge mountains are supplied by microsoft with windows. Everybody with a legit copy of XP has it.

Ha, I've been wondering the same thing, especially about the graphic you posted.

I have no idea, but when I started on PS there was a higher percentage of those three (?) icons and I thought that when PS introduced the avatars they only had "stock" pictures for people. If that's the case, perhaps people have kept them as a badge of honor (time at PS).

Ah, I see, the center of the sunrise picture - I have also seen a few people with the portion where the sun is over the mountain.
I guess if you don't catch it and have already used up your one change, it's yours to keep. |
