Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)
Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix) (Realplayer required)
Does anyone know of any techno artists that sound like that? Or just particular remixes? And I'm not looking for weaksauce like Da Rude. I ran this song through Pandora, but didn't get much outside of Fluke. All I know is that I can't get enough of this mix. The video version is shortened and changed a bit. If there's a demand for the real version, I'll upload. |

Re: Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)
First off: Great video, THX!!!!
I consider Prodigy unique: Their first cd The Prodigy Experience(1994?) is the biggest milestone of the nineties for the housescene. Here are some suggestions for you: Underworld* Dave Clarke* T.Raumschmiere* Alter Ego* Audio Bullies* Chemical Brothers* (If you ever get the chance to see these Brits in action check them out. Life these guys are magic) Kernkraft LIVE * = PM for "additional info" Enjoy |

Re: Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)
Please listen to the track before you make suggestions. This is a DnB remix and has absolutely nothing to do with house.
Edit: Ok, I saw you actually did watch the video. Since the OP is asking about this specific mix, I don't think he's asking for House suggestions. |

I was looking for this exact kind of sound and I knew house really wasn't it. Thank you for your followup. |

I think the suggestions I made are what he is looking for. The style of this song is Chemical House. The fact that it is remixed (without really changing that much to the song) doesn't change a thing. House = dance, techno house, gabber house, chemical house, jungle, trance, Electro House, acid house.... From wikipedia: House music refers to a collection of styles of electronic dance music, the earliest forms beginning in the early- to mid- 1980s. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...ine:House+music I think you have never been to a houseparty, or even know what house is. Hardcore will never die!!! |

Re: Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)
I have most of these albums, but most of the tracks don't move as quick as this remix does. It's like the pace of drum and bass, but not annoying like happy hardcore. Get me?

If you want to talk a strict def. of house music, you're generally talking 120bpm. Jungle you're talking 160bpm. Besides all the other differences that's your big general difference right there. And don't get all [censored] high and mighty, I spent 6 long years as a hardcore DnB head, living with 2 house DJs and a jungle DJ. I have a friend who just got a track he produced dropped by Baron. I was a promoter for 2 years and helped organize a jungle weekly. Is that enough credentials for me to talk about electronic music with you, oh wise one? |
